Information on Exercise after Lap-Band® surgery
After Lap-Band® surgery, you need to do some exercise in order to get some good result from this surgery. Only surgery is not enough to get rid from obesity in minimum time. To get best result you need to follow suggestion by your doctor and along with this do some regular exercise. Lap-Band® Exercise keeps an important part followed with Lap-Band® diet. With the daily exercise after Lap-Band® surgery, you move to lose weight in more fast way. Lap-Band® surgery will help you to lose weight and exercise helps you to stay in fit body.
First consult with your surgeon about, which type of exercise will be good for me and for how long. Daily walking is an efficient exercise. This must be your first step toward exercise. You can do this anywhere, in your home too. This is an easy exercise and it doesn’t cause any complication or injuries to you. Soon after 3-4 days after surgery you can start this. Only 15 to 30 minutes walking is preferred in first week then after you can continue to increase this according to your convenience like 10 minutes increment in every next week.
First you should go for brisk walk and after this go for light jog for 2 minutes. This should be one complete interval. Again go for brisk walk and jog for 2 minutes. Repeat this process for 20 minutes at least 4 times. You can also try pool for short swim and some simple stretching to keep your muscles active. You can also continue with lower limb exercise which gives the proper movement to the legs.
Lap-Band® Exercise is not only beneficial for losing weight but also it make you active, confident and well being. Aerobic exercise is good for you. You can also take help from any exercise fitness trainer. There are many form of exercise but you should choose only which makes you feel comfortable. Never choose such exercise which may increase any complication to your health after surgery. You can also start with weight training exercises during the second month after surgery for at least 30 minutes per day. Pilates, yoga and other stretching exercises can also included in second month of surgery.
It is not always possible to go gym for post Lap-Band® exercise but at your home before or after your work you can continue with this. Exercise after Lap-Band® surgery is most important but it should on safe basis. You should not try to lift any heavy material during 2 to 3 months after surgery. Exercise needs your commitment. Commitment means you will do this regularly and at the right interval of time. Plan for it and move forward, if you really want improvement in your lifestyle and best result from Lap-Band® surgery.
