Question: lap bad blockage ?
I think I have a blockage of my lap band. How is this fixed. I can\'t eat anything and liquids go down very slowly then stops and I vomit.
Answer 1 Lap band blockage and then vomiting resulting from it although not common can occur frequently during first few months of surgery. It is because body requires time to adjust and follow the eating habits suggested- chewing well slowly, avoiding hard food, warming up esophagus before having meal.
During blockage more than usual amount of saliva is secreted and as food cant get in it is thrown out. You should, stand up straight and arch your back stretching your hands high. You may have a hot cup of tea, for the blockage to be removed. Else you can consult your surgeon.
