I heard that Lap band surgery is good in comparison to all possible weight loss process. But I think it may have side effects. Are there any side effects of lap band surgery on body? If yes then, what are the effects on body after lap band surgery? It is unfortunate if there is any lap band side effects. Side effects of the lap band surgery vary from person to person. Is it true? Answer 1 Lap band surgery is very best process for weight loss. But it has some side-effects or complication also. Lap band side-effects are not more in quantity. It will not affect much more to your body. It can be cure by your surgeon. Yes side –effects may vary person to person. From the starting you will not feel and side- effects. As the morality rate of lap band surgery is very very less. After lap band surgery the first problem you get is less intake of food. If you eat hard chunk food or drink too quickly then vomiting may occur. Due to vomiting there may be changes of lap band slippage. Due to the port you may feel problem in sleeping. There may be change of erosion of lap band. Due to lap band reflux problem may occur. May be you feel leakage in your lap band. You may feel blockage in your outlet due to eating of large food. Answer 3 i think my band maybe to tight. jus had a fill 1 day ago and now i cant drink water without vomiting it is very discouraging cause i wanna do the right thing. i\'ve been excersising like crazy for past 2 months and no real results i lost more weight doin nothin. i had my surgery jan 5th 2010 I\'ve lost 35lbs doin nothin I thought if i start exersising maybe things would move along. i cant overeat due to the band so I\'m kinda confused but I\'m not givin up. support is very useful especially if u have children. someone who will listen to u and help u out when your feeln down, not to say i have that exactly why im sayn it. u need someone who wont be judgemental and is willin to pick up when your not at your best espcially when your used to being at your best. me I pray, thats what keeps me goin and i have two wonderful children[4 and 9].

Answer 5 to all i am seriously thinking about this surgery but i can tell some are having problems and complacations i read or heard you are not suppose to drink water with meals an hour before or an hour after. you must have very small meals. best thing to do is talk to your dr. and always remember it is up to you for the life changing procedure to make it work the lap band only aids you into helping you the rest is up to you!!!!
Answer 6 I had the lab band, i ate like they told me, i had my band ajusted several times, i was always hungry and i did NOT lose the weight. I consulted with another bmi dr, he told me that only 30% of the people that have this surgy will it work for, that it has something to do with the hormones that your body produces in the stomache and it is a chance you take, since then i have contacted my insurance and they will only do one procedure per life time, and the band is not doing any harm to me so they will not take it out. Think twice before you do this, if i could do it over agian i would do the gastric bypass. Good luck.
Answer 7 I\'ve had the lap band done in Aug of 09 to date I have lost over 60% of my excess body weight and have about 20 lbs until I reach my goal weight. Yes i have food restrictions, bread is a killer and so is salad. Yes, I sometimes still have a hard time eating, however if I eat several small meals a day like i am supposed to I find I can eat. I still drink a protien drink (ISOPURE the regular and smoothies are yummy) I look and feel healthier than I have in 10 years. Explore your options. Do what is right for you and don\'t trade one addiction ie food for another drinking
Answer 8 My mom just called me and has shared a story of her friends daughter who just passed away from a stomache perforation do to gastric bypass is a possiblity for the lap bad? i do drink LOTS of diet soda aand they said they believe that it was a factor in this death of the 39 year old girl?

Answer 11 I have had my lap band for seven years. I have lost all want to. What will happen to the band in years to come? I can\'t eat anything after noon, or I can\'t lay down and sleep at night. I do a lot of sating in my chair at night. I weight a 136, I am happy with that.
Answer 12 I have had the lap band for 14 months total weight lost from surgery weight is 25lbs and now down to 305lbs 18 months ago I was 360LBs when I decided to get the band I went to Dr. Liport by Dr. Chin at OCCmemorial great facility and support however I am at a 9.5 and ready for another fill my band only goes up to an 11 I am worried I will be at an 11 soon and I exercise and eat right an occaisional blockage due to eating too fast but nothing major like right after surgery when gas pockets would lodge in my belly causing major pain until I farted them our now after 14 months I can burp really well after eating but I have to have hot tea I have been adapting and at times I regret surgery and consider lap band reversal
But the positive is I am not gaining weight no more I got married twelve years ago and was 235lbs and always gained weight every year now I stop gaining and I am loosing very slowly Any Advice?
