I am not very much sure about the risk after being asthma patient. you can sure ask to your doctor about this. he will tell you in a fine way. and th insurance company allow for this surgery after being asthmatic.

Before surgery you gone out through many testes to decide whether you are eligible for this surgery or not.if she has controlled asthma then she should have no problem. i also had many health issue but i had gone for lap band surgery and this was my best decision so far. i have no problem and i am happy with my healthy life. i took insulin four times a day and now i am back on oral medications. these are good for me.
so go without having any second thought. but take decision after meeting with doctors.
