I have had the lap band since 2007. Really have had no problems. I have had it filled 2x\'s both within the first 18 months of the surgery. Recently I am having a problem eating or drink anything. This has gone on for the last 6 days. Where can I go? What to do?
Answer 1 You have been banded upto 18 months right, so I think you need a refill now. However you have already filled it, but you should went to your surgeon and perform diagnosis test. May your band is tight that’s why you are unable to eat and drink anything. Just stay on liquids until you get rid of this. If you stay hunger then the stomach acid can cause esophageal ulcers. Because of the tight band, the fluids cannot get down thus this occur eating and drinking problem. You should immediate consult your doctor, this might be cured also by some unfill.
